The Paper Place: Buying supplies in Toronto

Since moving to Toronto almost two years ago, I haven’t been able to buy scrapbook supplies in the city. There weren’t any local Michaels stores and I found that boutique art stores had huge markups with a small selection. I stopped looking for new stores for a while until I discovered a cute paper store on Queen West called The Paper Place.

I had cycled past the store multiple times and even got engaged across the street (at Trinity Bellwoods Park), but for some reason had never stopped to go inside. It’s crazy now that I think about it, because I was in love from the moment I step foot inside the store.

It is also the only place in downtown Toronto that carries American Crafts supplies. The prices are very reasonable and the amount of supplies in the store is endless. Here’s what I picked up during my visit:     DSCF4193 DSCF4194 DSCF4196This is the only store where I have been able to find binder rings for creating mini albums. If I wasn’t with Will, I probably could have spent all day in there looking at every product and detail. Even the music was inspiring!

Needless to say, I will definitely be stopping by again soon, and I can’t wait to share all the projects I will create with the supplies I bought!
